Design Art

I am intrigued by transience, by fragility and temporariness. I am drawn to what fades, erodes or drifts away, to things that do not insist on staying. Clarity is revealed through collapse. Beauty appears where form yields, where the impulse to create, construct and control wanes. Wandering and observation are my companions, giving time permission to unfold. I move slowly, allowing materials, places and circumstances to reveal their intentions before I choose to intervene. Design is flexible enough to hold this practice, to let me move between object and memory, between what is here and what is quietly receding.
