GemmaCert is a smart solution that quickly, reliably and affordably analyzes cannabis flowers and their extract to tell the exact THC and CBD levels within less than a minute. to provide reliable composition and potency readings, without harming the flowers or altering their efficacy.

There were three central design challenges. One evolved from the company’s decision to initially build a product to target growers, dispensaries, labs and home users – each potential customer group with different needs, expectations and characteristics.

The challenge was to create their trademark, first product in a way that would satisfy all these groups. The second challenge was to create a product that would allow the coexistence of diverse, organic plant material – freshly harvested, dried, powdered, or an extract – with sophisticated, sensitive optic-mechanical technology used for spectrometry and image analysis.

Finally, there was the third design challenge, which was to enable a wide community of users to adopt an advanced technology with the help of a simple, reliable, easy-to-use device.
