LINNEA LAMP
Stainless steel cable spring, Electric wire, Aluminum.
The design of this light fixture was inspired by the look of my beloved dog Bowie, which found a safe heaven in our home, after being beaten and abused by its former owner. Bowie has always looked like weight hanging around her neck, her back bent and endless sadness in her eyes.
Summers and winters Bowie used to curl up next to me while I was working in the studio. The deep sadness reflected in her curling gesture inspired this creation. The tension created between the electrical wire and the metal rod gives the “Linnea” its versatile structure.
