Fractured Continuance

Wind, heat, fire, and sometimes a herd of goats descending slowly from the hill, all leave their marks on the open field. Here, growth is rarely a straight line. There is severance and continuance, fracture and another way forward, yet always the pull toward another chance. Again and again, I find myself moved by the delicate, the small and the humble, and by the quiet dignity of their insistence on continuing.
