WAITING FOR THE BUS

WAITING FOR THE BUS

Air-conditioned bus stop

Everything drains to a small corner of land at the bottom of the map
A blue-red sea abounding in reefs and tropical fish, ships unloading goods and stories far
from the Far Eastern countries. Arid desert, mountains and towering hills slide into a bay
laden with tourists and a sense of freedom.
The great heat erupting from the desert beats inside as soon as the car door opens.
Air-conditioned bus stop – sounds like a good idea no one had thought of before, or an
absolutely silly idea that maybe should never have been thought of.
Either way out of the built-in conflict between the city’s vision of flashy appearance and my
personal choice to allow nature and the desert to be present – a new design was born. The
air-conditioned station, a cold bubble, a refuge from the heat for those waiting impatiently for
public transportation.
